Obituary of Thomas Allan Collins

Thomas, “Tom” “TC”, Allan Collins, 67, passed away, Saturday, July 29, 2017.  He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Martha Collins; and brother, John Ray Collins. Tom is survived by his son, Matthew Collins; daughter, Brittani Collins-Bible and spouse, Dana; former wife and children’s mother, Paula Collins; brother, Kenneth R. Collins and wife, Jacki; sister, Martha Hudson; and a host of many other family and friends.

After graduating from Mt. Carmel High School in 1968, Tom joined the United States Navy where he proudly served his country. Tom was a loving and devoted father who enjoyed family gatherings and all the delicious food that came along with them. He found pleasure in being outdoors and spending time at the beach, in the mountains, or visiting historical sites. When not exploring outdoors, Tom could frequently be found singing, playing the guitar, or watching high school football, especially Katy High School. Tom had a servant’s heart and was passionate about caring for others. His gregarious nature meant that he never met a stranger. He was a good listener who was known for giving good advice. Tom was a hardworking man with an engineers’ mind who always wanted everything precise and in order. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Services for Tom will be held at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The visitation will be held Tuesday, August 1, 2017 from 5:30 pm until 8:00 pm with the Rosary recited at 6:00 pm. The funeral service will take place Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Deacon Daniel Addis officiating.
