Harrell L. Criswell, a resident of Pearland, passed away Sunday, February 6, 2005 at his home surrounded by his loving family at the age of 71 years. A veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps, Mr. Criswell was a parishioner of St. Helen’s Catholic Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council # 8960, and a member of the C. C. A. He is survived by a loving family; his wife of 52 years, Alice M. Criswell; his son and daughter-in-law, David and Lisa Criswell, of Pearland; five daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Rick Harris and Elaine and Manuel Vasquez, all of Pearland, Karen and Johnny Martinez, of Webster, Janice and Salomon Vega, of Friendswood and Theresa and Larry Dworaczyk, of Alvin; Brother and Sister-in-law, Marty and Monica Criswell, of Bryan; Sister and Brother-in-law, Barbara Ann and Dan Gilbert, of Las Vegas, Nevada; 13 Grandchildren, Ryan and Katie Harris, Denny and Erica Tramel, Claire Martinez, Jacob Kern, Brianne Vega, Candice, Dustyn and Ashley Criswell, Elizabeth Goshorn, and Lucas and Sarah Dworaczyk; numerous other relatives and a host of friends. Visitation was held Monday, February 7, 2005, from 5 - 9 PM, at Clayton Funeral and Cemetery Services of Pearland, where a Knights of Columbus rosary was recited at 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday, February 8, 2005, at 2:00 PM, at St. Helen’s Catholic Church with Msgr. Reginald R. Nesvadba as celebrant. Rite of Committal followed at SouthPark Cemetery, Pearland. Pallbearers were, Gary Richter, Al Scioneaux, Steve Jones, Gary Blanchette, Bob Nipper and Erwin Lindemann. Honorary pallbearers were, Victor Lorenz, and members of the Lone Star Deer Lease. In lieu of usual remembrances memorials are requested to be made to; St. Helen’s Catholic Church Building Fund, 2209 Old Alvin Road, Pearland, TX 77581.
