Obituary of Jack Marvin Womack

Please share a memory of Jack to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Jack Marvin Womack, 77, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2017.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack Noah Womack and Daphine Womack; and sister, Beverly Waddle.  Jack is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 59 years, Norma Womack; sons, Steve Womack and wife, Eileen, Randy Womack and wife, Tristan; daughter, Debra Jarvis and husband, Keith; sister, Tamra Peterson; eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren (with one on the way); and a host of other family and dear friends.

Jack was a devoted and faithful family man and a loving man who led by example.  Jack loved the Lord and His Word and was strong in his faith and lived by his Christian beliefs.  He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family.  Some of his and his family’s fondest memories are times spent at Lake LBJ and Lake Livingston in their boat.  He was courageous in his battle with cancer over the past 21 years and was an inspiration to others around him as he persevered.  Jack will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Jack’s honor to the Genitourinary Department at M. D. Anderson Hospital.

Services for Jack will be held Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W.
