Obituary of Gary Dell Beasley

Please share a memory of Gary to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Gary Dell Beasley, 79, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2018.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Mildred Beasley; his loving wife of 57 years, Jeanne Beasley; and grandson, Cameron Dixson.  Left to cherish Gary’s memory is his son, Gary Beasley and wife, Laurie; daughters, Dianna Beasley, Kristal Beasley White and husband, Scott; sister, Billie Riley and husband, Don; grandchildren Julia, Brandon and Brice; and a host of other family and dear friends.

Gary came from nothing, had a strong work ethic and always persevered through all challenges.  He was very smart and successful in the business world.  Gary was a born leader and not afraid to fail.  He loved riding his motorcycle and was President of Red Raiders Road Riders Motorcycle Club.  Gary was mechanically-minded and could fix just about anything.  When he was 30, he had a brain tumor removed and came back with a vengeance.  Gary loved being a true Texan and was named after Gary Cooper.  He enjoyed music, dancing and watching his hero John Wayne on the television.  Gary enjoyed American history and turned family trips into history lessons.  He was strong in his faith and after retirement remained active at First United Methodist Church in Houston.  Gary will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
