Willie was always smiling! He was smart and had a wicked sense of humor. He excelled in band and I loved that he was our band leader on the field. I do remember loving to see him smile! His eyes would twinkle and then become just thin slits as he laughed. We didn’t get to share a lot of time together. As much as I participated in everything I could I was still shy and kept to myself. I always admired his confidence. Heaven is being granted another gift of a human. I will always honor his time here.

It has been a great honor to know and to work with Willie in the Christian Motorcyclists Association. He has been a tremendous inspiration to all who have known him. He has always been outgoing friendly and kind to everyone he met, and has shown the love of Jesus to them. Dear Julie,
I am so sorry that you have lost your dear Willie. He was such a wonderful young man. I think back to when he was just a baby living in Ft. Worth with his mom and dad, while Jerry was in the Air Force. I remember holding him and he was so cute. He actually initiated me my wetting his diaper and spitting up on me. I enjoyed watching him grow up and go on to accomplish wonderful things in life. I know you two had a very special relationship and I am so glad God blessed the two of you for 25 years.

To his family, I offer my most sincere condolences. I did not know Willie very well, as he was a friend of my brother’s. But I know what a sweet man he was. Willie and I had a picture of us taken at my barber shop, back in 2011. I seem to have let it get away from me. I have scoured my computer in a search for it, but it’s nowhere to be found.
