Obituary of Carol Jane Heydorn

Carol Jane Heydorn, 81, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018.  She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Isabella Coulter.  Carol is survived by her loving husband, Richard Heydorn; son, James Heydorn and wife, Valorie; daughters, Carol McIver, Patty Aaron and husband, Eric, Linda Ludlow and husband, Mel; sisters, Mary Lou Henne and Kathy Barton; fourteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and a host of other family and dear friends.

Jane was a devoted housewife and mother that enjoyed cooking, sewing, shopping, reading, and painting.  Her paintings decorate her home as well as the houses of many family members, filling their lives with her beauty. Jane’s artistic abilities came to her naturally as her mother and both sisters were painters as well.  She was strong in her faith, and her caring disposition was truly fueled by her deep commitment to God.  She was generous to all and a light of happiness to all those blessed to be her close associates.

Jane graduated from the University of Akron.  She had an excellent memory and a sharp intellect.  Jane was never intimidated by learning new things.  Over the last few years, Jane had suffered from ALS which had left her disabled, but even through her many hardships, she always kept her faith.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her but has been welcomed by God who has received her home!

A visitation and rosary for Jane will be held Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581.  The visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00pm with the rosary recited at 6:30 pm.  The funeral mass will take place Friday, March 9, 2018 at 12:00 pm at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with Father Tom Ponzini officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Dickinson, Texas.
