I'm so sorry for your loss. I knew Karen well several years ago as a fellow massage therapist. We volunteered together for many years at a yearly women's retreat. Volunteerism was a big part of Karen's life and I was blessed by her friendship. We shared some happy times. I will miss her.

My heartfelt sympathy to the Lowery family. When I went through the loss of my father, a scripture that brought me comfort is Isaiah 41:10. There God tells us " I will fortify you " and promises " I will really hold on to you with my right hand ". May the God of all comfort be with you at this difficult time.

Fun loving, wonderful woman.I knew Karen before she ever met Bob. Back in the day, when I worked HPD Juvenile Division and Karen, one of the first female Park Police Officers with HPD. She would bring in juvenile "paint huffers" she had arrested in a park and we would laugh, because she sometimes would have paint on her. Then after she met Bob and they lived in some apartments off of Scardale, myself, a Brazoria county deputies wife and other officers went to a new years party at their apt and the cops were called on all of us for dancing in the street. I loved her cooking and before she started working at Pearland, she and I would feed night shift Pearland Officers, Brazoria County Deputies and DPS Troopers at our houses.Karen loved helping people, loved her family and loved being a police officer. She will be greatly missed by all. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all........Sonny Atkins,(Retired Pearland Police) and Lyn Atkins, (Retired HPD officer)
