Obituary of Alton Ford, Jr.

Alton Ford, Jr., 36, of Pearland, Texas, passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018. He is preceded in death by his parents Carol Parker Ford and Alton Ford, Sr. Left to cherish his memory is his loved wife of 5 years Victoria Ford and children Kennedy, Alyssa, Avery, and Tre, his sister, Anita and a host of other family and dear friends.

Alton was extremely strong in his faith and loved people. He loved his family dearly and was an incredible father to his children. He was a very humble man and a friend to everyone. Alton was a gifted athlete, his friends and family called him “The Gentle Giant”, but on the basketball court there was nothing gentle about him. He was Victoria’s rock, confidant, and help mate. His “can do” spirit was with him until the end. Alton never gave up. He fought his battle with great courage and strength. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A visitation and service will be held for Alton at First Church of Pearland, 1850 Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581, on Thursday, April 5, 2018. The visitation will be from 9:00 am to 10:30 am. The funeral service will begin at 10:30 am with Reverend Tyler Walea officiating. Interment will follow at Houston Memorial Gardens.
