Obituary of Michelle Lee South

Michelle Lee South, 40, passed away Monday, April 2, 2018.  She is survived by her mom and dad, Linda and Lee Emerson; husband, Shannon South; mother-in-law, Deb South and her husband, Gary; father-in-law, Lou South; son, Xevier Mykol Blackwell; daughters, Makenzie Olivia South, Sarah and Katie Muller; brothers, Bobby Capa and wife, Wanda; and Alex Richardson; grandmother, Joan Sweeney; sisters, Bobbie Kahara and husband, Steve, Jonnica Cortright, Ruby Yap, Samantha Yap; one granddaughter; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins,  nieces, nephews; and a host of other family and dear friends.

Michelle was a devoted mother and daughter, and an amazing wife who loved her children, family and friends dearly.  She had a gigantic smile, an amazing sense of humor and loved to laugh and giggle.  Michelle was especially known for her easy-going demeanor and for being an awesome finder of things that aren't lost.  She was a generous and loyal friend.  She had a passion for animals, especially dogs and dog rescues.  Michelle will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michelle’s honor to your local animal shelter or pet rescue.  The family also requests that everyone wear pink to the memorial service in honor of Michelle.

The Memorial Mass for Michelle will be held Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 10:00 am at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2209 Old Alvin Road, Pearland, TX 77581 with Father Jim Courville officiating.  Interment will follow at SouthPark Resurrection Cemetery.
