Obituary of Mario Margarito Garza

Mario Margarito Garza, 47, of Pearland, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018. Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Margie and Mario Garza; grandmother, Rachel Gonzales; daughter Rheya Marie Garza; brother Mark Garza and wife, Kathy; and a host of other family and dear friends.

Mario was a big kid at heart. He loved watching and critiquing movies with his family. Sci-fi and Marvel movies were his favorites, and if it was a movie he was interested in, you could guarantee he had tickets to the pre-show viewing. Mario loved all types of music and was always up to date on new releases so that he could have the most current music for his work as a DJ. He also kept up with technology and always wanted the newest devices. You would rarely ever see Mario mad. He was always about making friends and meeting new people. That is why Super Mario liked to DJ and was planning on starting his own photo booth business. He took pride in his work and would tell anyone who would listen about his day. He was an avid Cowboys, Astros, and LSU fan. Even though his dad and brother gave him grief about it, he always loved his purple and yellow Tigers. More than anything Mario loved life and his family. He was a devoted father to his 14-year-old daughter Rheya, whom he often took shopping. He was an amazing and loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. Mario didn’t have much, but he would give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

A visitation will be held at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581, on Monday, April 16, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with a rosary starting at 7:00 pm. The funeral mass for Mario will be at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2209 Old Alvin Road, Pearland, Texas 77581, on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 1:00 pm, with Father Wayne Wilkerson officiating.
