Obituary of Faye Robinson

Faye Robinson, 85, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2018.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Stephen and Audrey Johnson; her loving husband of 61 years, Shelton Homer Robinson; brother, S.N. Johnson; sister, Geneva Graham; and grandchild, Cody Stephens.  Left to cherish her memory are her son, Allen Robinson and wife, Cathy; daughters, Donna Bunch and husband, Billy, Melody Stephens and husband, Scott; brothers, Mel Johnson and wife, Kay, Mike Johnson and wife, Suzanne, Mark Johnson and wife, Vicki; nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; and a host of other family and dear friends.

Education was extremely important to Faye and she taught 2^nd grade in Pearland ISD and at private kindergartens for more than 30 years.  She was strong in her faith and a dedicated member of Sagemont Church and First Baptist Pearland where she served as a Sunday School teacher and member of the church choir.  She was active with the Widows Ministry and assisted with shut-ins.  She had moved to Orchard Park over the past few years and was even known to help the nursing aids as part of her care ministry.  Faye dedicated her life to others and felt a responsibility to always help others in need.  She enjoyed painting, quilting and sewing.  Faye was affectionately known as either Grandma or MawMaw to her grandchildren and Granny to her great grandchildren.  She cherished every opportunity she had to spend time with her grandchildren and looked forward to being together for holidays and birthdays.  Faye will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Services for Faye will be held Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Briarwood Baptist Church, 1020 LA-9, Saline, LA 71070.  The visitation will begin at 10:00 am and the funeral service will follow at 11:00 am with Pastor Randy Dark.  Interment will follow at the Briarwood Baptist Church Cemetery.  A Celebration of Life Memorial Gathering will take place Saturday, July 28, 2018 from 4:00 until 6:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581.
