Clarence Richard, 71, of Houston, Texas, passed away on August 6, 2018. He is preceded in death by his parents, Luedna Carmen and Houston Richard, Sr.; son, Marc Richard; siblings, Isabella LeDet and Eula Hebert. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 43 years, Gertha Richard; son, Keith Richard and wife, Jennifer; daughter, Nicole Sitka and husband, Cody; siblings, Ethel Paul, Houston Richard, Jr., Margaret Richard Deshotel and husband, Albert, Raymond Richard and wife, Connie; four grandchildren, one on the way, and a host of other family and dear friends.

Clarence graduated in 1967, from Hebert High School in Beaumont, Texas and a Texas Southern University graduate, class of 1971. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed coaching his kid’s basketball, baseball, and soccer teams. He followed the TCU football team and loved watching their games. Clarence was strong in his faith and regularly attended St. Bernadette Catholic Church. He adored his grandchildren and would spend as much time with them as he could. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Parent Heart Watch at https://parentheartwatch.org/ in Clarence’s name in honor of his son, Marc.

A Funeral Mass for Clarence will be held at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2209 Old Alvin Road, Pearland, Texas 77581, on Wednesday, August 15, 2018. The Richard family will begin accepting friends at 9:15 am and the mass will start at 10:00 am, with Father Jim Courville officiating.  Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery in League City, Texas.
