Obituary of Karl Micheal Murphy

Karl Micheal Murphy, 77, of Pearland, TX, passed away August 27, 2018 at 8:30 pm.

Karl was born July 3, 1941 in Cadillac, MI to Harley L. and Florence (Beauprey) Murphy.

He married Jeanne M. Quist September 29, 1961 in Cadillac, MI.

Karl owned Murphy Auto Parts in McBain for several years and worked at Cadillac Moose Lodge #531.  Upon moving to Pearland, Texas he worked in the auto parts business until his retirement.  He was a Pilgrim and life member of The Loyal Order of Moose through Cadillac Moose Lodge #531.  His greatest joy was having his family around him.

He is survived by his loving wife Jeanne, three daughters and their husbands:  Sandra (Kenneth) Voight, Springville, TN, Melody (Allan) Jean, Apex, NC, Michelle (Michael) Patterson, Pearland, TX as well as 2 grandsons, 3 step-grandchildren, and 4 step-great grandchildren.

He is also survived by brothers Bruce (Betty) of Lake City, MI, Charley (Lois) Chilcote of Lansing, MI, Thomas Chilcote of Cadillac, MI, sisters Nancy Brunck, Clara Houser, Tina (John) Harris all of Cadillac, MI, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sister:  Bonnie Sue Mongar and brothers-in-law:  Jerry Brunck and Bob Mongar.

Cremation will take place in Pearland, Texas.  No services will be held.
