Margaret Ann Clay

Margaret Annie Trojanowski Clay of La Porte, Texas passed away on December 19, 2016 at her home. She was born on January 6, 1953 in Boone, North Carolina and graduated from Smith Senior High School in Greensboro, North Carolina. Annie and her husband Steve moved to La Porte in 1979 where she was a long-tme employee of Starkey Plumbing in Pasadena.
In addition to her husband Steven Roger Clay of La Porte, she was preceded in death by her parents Aleksander Trojanowski and Margarete S. Trojanowski of Greensboro.
Annie is survived by son Eric Clay and daughter-in-law Chandra Callicutt and their children Julianna and Adrian Clay of Raleigh, North Carolina; brother Hermann J. Trojanowski of Greensboro, North Carolina; and brother-in-law Doug Clay and wife Joy and their family of Phoenix, Arizona.
In addition to her family and friends in the United States, Annie will be missed by her extended family overseas: In Poland: Barbara Trojanowska; Jan Trojanowski and wife Stanislawa Trojanowska; Zbigniew Trojanowski and wife Ewa Trojanowska; Jolanta Pilawska and husband Thomasz Pilawski, and daughter Zuzanna; Mateusz Trojanowski; Bartosz Trojanowski and wife Ewa Trojanowska, and son Jakub; Maciek Trojanowski, daughter Maja, and son Maksymilian. In England: Anna Taylor and husband Lee, and daughter Daisy; Katarzyna Sian and husband Dodger, and daughter Marianna; and Magdalena Trojanowska and son Oliver. In Canada: Agnieszka Bogaczewicz and husband Andres, daughter Mari, and son Slawosz. In Germany: Herbert Haag and family; Jörg Haag and family; Harald Montag and family; and Gunter Montag and family.
A Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 10, 2017 in the chapel at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in La Porte.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made St. Jude’s Hospital, your local pet rescue, or to a charity of your choice.
