Chester Coburn, 83, of La Porte passed away Thursday February 11, 2010. He was born May 17, 1926 in Florine, Louisiana. He is preceded in death by his wife of 20 years Josephine “Jo” Coburn, his father Thomas Coburn and mother Catherine Coburn, sister Thelma Williams and his brothers Perry Coburn and Bud Coburn. Chester is survived by his sister Velma “Sis” Pelt and husband Billy Ray, companion Marolynn Eskew, nieces Gayla, Lorene, Charlene, Yvonne, and great niece Bethany, nephews Carl and Junior, children Eddie Roye and wife Brenda, Dottie Kaminski and husband Jimmie, Bobby Roye and wife Diana, grandchildren Dwaine Roye, Scott Roye, Dena McClendon, Tommy Kaminski, Chad Kaminski, Jeremy Roye, Jeff Roye, great grandchildren Brent Roye, Brittni Roye, Brandon Roye, Megan Roye, Kahlyn McClendon, Tommy McClendon, Savannah Kaminski, Holland Kaminski, Kyle Kaminski, Victoria Kaminski, London Roye, and great-great grandchildren Cameron Roye.
Visitation will be held Sunday February 14, 2010 at 5-8PM at Paul U. Lee La Porte Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held Monday February 15, 2010 at 2PM at the funeral home as well.
