He enjoyed many hobbies from shooting clays, aviation, machining, to working with heavy equipment and was instrumental in getting the Baytown Area Shooting Club’s new location up and running. He became an avid shooter and enjoyed shooting clays with family and friends, sponsoring many friendly shooting clay matches on weekends. He and Donnas hosted annual Family Reunions throughout their lives and celebrated their 50th Anniversary (2008) with over 100 of their close friends, relatives and business associates. The renewing of their vows was officiated by their nephew, Rev. Kelly Burmaster. Jim and Donnas were active members of the Pasadena Blvd Methodist Church.
