Obituary of Ida Bell Armstrong

Ida Bell Armstrong August 20, 1924 - May 16, 2007 ARMSTRONG Ida Bell Armstrong, 82, of La Porte, TX died May 16, 2007. She was born August 20, 1924 to Doctor Tyer and Carrie Elizabeth (Parker) Tyer. Mrs. Armstrong was affiliated with the First Baptist Church of La Porte and she was the assistant manager of the La Porte Lanes Bowling Alley. She is survived by her son, Wayne McLen of Austin, TX and daughter Mary Ann Holmes; brother M. C. Tyer; and niece Owietta Slebodnik of Pasadena, TX. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. David Morgan at 3 p.m., Friday, May 18, 2007 at Paul U. Lee-La Porte Funeral Home. Interment at the Grand View Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Paul U. Lee-La Porte Funeral Home on Thursday, May 17, 2007 from 5:00-9:00 p.m.
