Floyd Foshee, 90, of La Porte, Texas died on November 9, 2016. He was born on November 10, 1925 in Vowells Mill, Louisiana to Sim and Airee Foshee. Floyd was a WWII Navy Veteran. He became an ordained minister in 1972. He was a minister at Needville Baptist Church, Oak Island Baptist Church and Lomax Baptist Church. He retired from Union Carbide. He is preceded in death by his parents Sim Foshee and Airee Polk, four brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his wife of 68 years Nora Foshee; Son Doug Foshee and wife Clara from Taos, New Mexico; Step-Granddaughter Joy Garcia and husband Ted; Sister Evelyn Rigsby; Sister-in-law Irene Foshee; Brother-in-law H.W. Morris and wife Marilyn; God Grand Daughter Angela Hughes; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Pallbearers Ricky Tarver, Richard Tarver, Thomas Barrera, Danny Armstrong, Daryl Bitner, and Burt Bitner. Visitation is Monday, November 14, 2016 at 9am until service time at 11am at Paul U. Lee La Porte Funeral Home Chapel with interment immediately following at Grand View Memorial Park in Pasadena, Texas.
