Annette Ayers August 04, 1940 - July 25, 2016 Annette Ayers, age 75, was called home by her Lord and savior on July 25, 2016. She went peacefully at the Mainland Medical Center in Texas City, Texas. Annette was born in Houston, Texas on August 4, 1940 to Charles and Marjorie Benoskie. She was a sibling to Charles, Yvonne, and Will-Dean Benoskie. She attended Industrial High School in Vanderbilt, Texas. She was employed as a housewife most of her life but briefly worked as a floor sales attendant at the Finger Furniture Company. She was a member of the “First Assembly of God” church located in La Porte, Texas. She was involved in her local community of the “Churchill Place Apartments”. She enjoyed sewing, shopping, getting her hair and nails done, reading her bible, attending bible study, and spreading the word of god. She will be remembered for her light hearted personality, caring and kind attitude, the way she smiled even in the darkest of times, and the unconditional love she had for her friends and family. She is survived by Kathryn and Michael McCluskey, her eldest daughter and her husband, as well as her 5 other children, 15 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her late husband, Rickey Paul Ayers Senior, grandchild Christopher Argo, and grandchild Tyra Dinujuen Elzy. The viewing will be held at the Paul U Lee Funeral Home located at 201 South 3rd Street, La Porte, Texas 77571 on Tuesday, July 26th, 2016 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. The funeral will be held the following day, Wednesday July 27th, 2016 beginning at 10:00am. Annette will then be transported to Rice Cemetery located in Crockett, Texas where she will be laid to rest next to her late husband, Rickey Paul Ayers Senior.
