Hazel Godshaw December 01, 1926 - December 25, 2008 Hazel Godshaw Naylor born December 1, 1926 and passed from this world on December 25, 2008 at the age of 82 years and 24 days. She was preceded in death by her mother Armenia Bellard Janies, father Aduse Janies, and brothers Allen Janies and Ovey Janies. She is survived by her sister Lessie Welch of Oakdale, Louisiana and brother Clarence Janies and his wife Imogene of Sulphur, Louisiana and numerous nieces and nephews. She is survived by 3 daughters, Diana Lay of Hammond, Louisiana; Carolyn and husband Tony Mabile of West, Texas and Lynn and husband R. J. Dorsett of League City, Texas; 8 grandchildren, Lisa Broussard of Gillis, Louisiana; and Connie Fry of Westlake, Louisiana ; Andy Mabile and wife Vicki of Mt. Calm, Texas; Todd Mabile and wife Tena of Worthum, Texas; Nancy Nichols of Waco, Texas; Michelle Crockett and Kenny Taylor of Waco, Texas; Justin Dorsett and very special friend Mattie Johnson of League City, Texas; Chad Dorsett of League City, Texas;14 Great -grandchildren Rachael Broussard of Lake Charles, Louisiana; Simon Broussard of Lake Charles, Louisiana; Kevin Frye of Beaumont, Texas; Joseph Frye of Westlake, Louisiana; Jacob Frye of Westlake, Louisiana, Kaylee Frye of Westlake, Louisiana ; Scott Mabile and his wife Sarah of Waco, Texas; Alicia McGee and her husband Drew of Huntsville, Texas ; Justin Mabile of Waco, Texas; Colton Mabile of Waco, Texas; Paul Davila and his wife Brandi of Temple, Texas; Andrew Nichols of Waco, Texas; Andrea Crockett of Waco, Texas ; Weston Crockett of Fort Worth, Texas. 2 Great-great grandchildren Amos Davila and Gracey Davila of Temple, Texas. Hazel Godshaw Naylor was past worthy matron of Eastern Star Lodge, La Porte, and member of Eastern Star Lodge, Seabrook. She was also past PTA president of La Porte Elementary. She was also a Red-hat Society member. Visitation was held Monday December 29, 2008 at 5-8 PM at Paul U. Lee La Porte Funeral Home Chapel. Services were held Tuesday December 30, 2008 at 10 AM at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Justin Dorsett, Chad Dorsett, Andy Mabile, Todd Mabile, Ricki Janies, & Kevin Frye. Honorory Pallbearers are the Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, and Great-Great Grandchildren.
