Linda Goff, 67, of La Porte, who was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and sister, died Wednesday, September 5, 2012 after a lengthy illness.
Linda was born on December 31, 1944 in Corpus Christi, Texas and lived in the Rockport/Fulton area as a teenager. After high school, she met her husband, John. They lived in Rockport, Tx., Big Spring, Tx. and Mojave, Calif. before moving to La Porte in the early 1980s.
Linda was active in all of her children’s school and extra-curricular activities and also operated her own day care in La Porte for 20 years. She was also a certified as a Registered Nurse. Linda was also a devoted member of First United Methodist Church in La Porte.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Goff, father Marion Johnson, mother Luella Johnson, stepmother Hazel Johnson and brother Richard Johnson.
Linda is survived by her son, Richard Goff of Seabrook, his wife and daughter-in-law Camille Goff , daughter Stephanie Kramer and her husband and son-in-law Mark Kramer. She is also survived by sister Bonnie Crager and husband Bob, brother Gene Johnson and wife Eva, nephew Gary Grager and nieces Denise Brokaw and Amy Reithman.
In addition, Linda is survived by granddaughters Ivy Kramer of La Porte and Alexandra Goff of Seabrook and grandson Zachary Goff of Seabrook.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 14, 2012, at 11:00 am at First United Methodist Church of La Porte, 9601 West Fairmont Parkway. A private graveside service will held at Fulton Cemetery in Fulton, Tx. at a later date.
