Obituary of Robert Herbert Weyrich

Robert H. Weyrich, 82, a resident of Pearland, passed away on November 18, 2007. He is survived by his loving wife, Johnnie, of 58 years; son Robert and his wife Magdalena; daughters Katheryn Weyrich, Carolyn Weyrich, and Deanna Maxwell; five grandchildren, Jeremy Endle, John Maxwell, and Amanda, Amy and Ashley Weyrich; one great grandchild, Shawn Maxwell; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
Robert was a native of Houston who moved to Pearland in 1966. He proudly served in the Navy during World War II and was stationed on the USS Destroyer Ault in the Sea of Japan and witnessed the signing of the surrender of Japan. He was a graduate of the University of Houston and a Master Mason of the Park Place Masonic Lodge #1172. He was also an honorary member of the Harris County Sheriff’s Reserves. Robert had many hobbies and interests. He loved to fish, enjoyed duck hunting, and taught all the kids and grandkids how to swim. He could build and fix just about anything and even built two houses during his lifetime. He earned the distinguished title of Patriarch of the Weyrich Family.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 21, 2007, from 6 PM to 8 PM at Clayton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 23, 2007, at 2 PM in the chapel at Clayton Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Southpark Cemetery.
