What a shock to read of Hunter's passing in the newspaper! I had heard of Dick's passing; but, never dreamed you had also lost Kevin! Life just isn't fair. My heart bleeds for you! Thank God for those precious grandchildren!

Hunter was one of my closest friends for more than 25 years. I remember the day he rolled into the high school parking lot in his black Chrysler Laser, with the stereo blaring, and a classic mullet; everyone wondering who the new kid was. We were friends from the start and shared countless adventures over the years. I will truly miss him. I know that he is at peace.

As I tell my kids on a regular basis, a kind heart is the greatest gift...be kind and add smiles. It has been many years since I've run across the Hays brothers, but their kind nature made an impression on me. They added to the beauty of this world, a gift indeed.
