Obituary of Hunter Hays

Hunter Hays May 20, 1968 - February 05, 2013 Richard Hunter Hays, 44, the son of retired La Porte Independent School District Superintendent Dick and wife Sandy Hays, passed away Tuesday, February 5th, 2013 in La Porte, Texas. He was born in Dallas, Texas on May 20th, 1968. Hunter was preceded in death by his brother Kevin and father Dick Hays. He is survived by his loving companion Diana Hansen, devoted mother Sandy, sister-in-law Robin, and nephews Stefan and Ashton Hays. Hunter loved the outdoors. Fishing, boating, snowboarding, and hunting were his favorite activities. He was a graduate of La Porte High School and attended Texas Tech University. Hunter was a loving and devoted son to his parents. A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM Saturday, February 9th at the First United Methodist Church of La Porte, 9601 Fairmont Parkway.
