our hearts are heavy but filled with such joy, knowing that Our Cousin is walkin the streets of Glory with no pain! Thinking back on my childhood, with many cousins, all of them special, it was Denise that I wanted to stay with when visiting LaPorte! I was a young teenager when the babies were born and we played dress up with every bow we could find! She always fixed my hair so pretty, just like one of her girls. I always dreamed of finding a love like Denise did when she found Carl! What a legacy the two of them left for us all! The last time we visited she told me how truely Blessed she was that she had a man that stood by her through thick and thin and 3 precious children that she cherished, a complete and loving family. God blessed our family with this Angel and I am eternally thankful! (Our Daddy's were brothers) Until we meet again, thank you for the example of unconditional love and beauty!

Carl, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers as you go thru this rough time of your life. Denise had been sick pretty much all the time that I knew her, but we all can say right now she ain't sick no more. She has that big, bright smile going from ear to ear, running up and down the streets of glory. Seeing sights that we can't imagine and hearing sounds that are too wonderful for words. Denise was a wonderful addition to our family and will be greatly missed.
One of my memories, back in the old days when you had diaper pins, she would paint a beautiful picture on the head of the diaper pin. She was very creative, talented, cooked wonderful meals, always decorated the house for every holiday, was easy to laugh and cry with...If they gave awards for super Mom's or stay at home wives, she would have received the highest award.
We loved you, will most definitely miss you and will be here for the family you left behind.
