Please accept my heartfelt condolences. The minute I met Sammy, I liked him. He helped me make the transformation from firefighter to police officer. His advice wa always spot on- backed by love and humor. I felt like he was my dad as well. I will miss him dearly. However I can see his smile ,and hear his laugh right now from heaven. Guess Jesus needed a bodyguard. There would be no one better than Sammy. I loved that Cajun nightmare!
Rest in peace brother. We will see you soon.

Sammy was someone that is unforgettable. There are not many people like that in this world, but he is definitely one of them. I will never forget his twinkling eyes or his laugh. His sense of humor was wonderful. I remember Sammy scaring Me, Patti, and Heath so bad when we saw Nightmare on Elm Street for the first time. Laying on the living room floor and he taped knives on his hands and was scratching on the door. We almost all wet our pants, I thought him and Janet would never stop laughing at us. I will never forget Sammy, not as long as I live. He was a WONDERFUL man who had a WONDERFUL family. My prayers will be with all of his family.
