Obituary of Ada Hamilton Jones

Ada Hamilton Jones May 25, 1929 - February 07, 2010 Ada Hamilton Jones, 80, of La Porte passed away Sunday February 7, 2010. She was born May 25, 1929 in La Porte, Texas to Jessie Theall and George Hamilton. She graduated from La Porte High School in 1947, where she was a member of Mr. Einfeldt’s band. Ada ran a nursery in La Porte and was known to many as the plant lady. She also was a proud member of the La Porte Bayshore Chamber of Commerce. She is preceded in death by her husband Willard Jones, Sr., her son Nick Thomas Jones, and grandson Ryan Hamilton Jones. She is survived by her children Ada Jones Martin, George William Jones and wife Barbara, Dr. Willard D. Jones, Jr. and wife Donna, sister Doris Zlomke, brother Hayes Hamilton , and grandchildren Trampas Martin, Beau Martin, Jeffrey Lavergne, Lindsey Lavergne, Willard Trey Jones, Trent Jones, Kelli Jones Schulba, and Travis Jones. Visitation will be held Tuesday February 9, 2010 at 5PM, with a Rosary beginning at 7PM at Paul U. Lee La Porte Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held Wednesday February 10, 2010 at 11AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of La Porte.
