Obituary of Michael Martin

Michael Martin April 23, 1963 - February 01, 2010 Michael Allen Martin, 46, of Shoreacres departed this life for a better one Monday, February 1, 2010. He was born April 23, 1963 in Pasadena, Texas to Carl and Jean Martin. Growing up along Galveston Bay, Michael loved boating and was an avid fisherman. He also acquired a lifelong passion for music as a talented trombone player in the La Porte High School band and thoroughly enjoyed the sport of bowling whenever possible. Michael is survived by his loving parents, his sisters Linda Parker of Dallas, and Karen Harris and husband David of La Porte, his nephew Jerry Parker of Dallas, his nieces Jennifer Shpilsky and husband Steve, and Lauren Bohlmann, his great-nephew Ben Shpilsky, all of Houston, and his fiancée Tracey Schneehagen of La Porte. A memorial service to be officiated by Pastor Jack Womack will be held in Michael’s honor on Thursday, February 11, 2010, at 2:00pm at the Golden Acres United Methodist Church in Pasadena, TX. In lieu of usual remembrances, donations can be made in Michael’s name to Hope Community Church, 2838 Lily St., Pasadena, TX 77503-3814.
