Obituary of Joyce Charlette Massey

Joyce Charlette Massey June 02, 1944 - October 27, 2008 Joyce Massey, our beloved mother, grandmother, and wife went to be with our Lord and Savior on October 27, 2008. Born June 2, 1944 in Madisonville, Texas. She and her family moved to La Porte, Texas in 1970, where she lived the rest of her adult life. She is preceded in death by her parents Dixie and Carl Landon. She leaves to cherish her memory Alvin Massey, her husband of 24 years, twin sister Jean Downs and husband Alvin, sister Dottie Jo Hensen, and brother William Wendling, children William Nolin, Jr. and wife Joy, Anthony Nolin and wife Kelly, Dwayne Nolin and wife Sharon, Weldon Massey, Thomas Massey, Catherine Neal, Paul Massey, grandchildren Patrick, Keith, Kevin, Nathan, Zachary, Brock, and Presley Nolin, Tyler Gerfers, Mark Neal, Jason Massey, as well as many nieces and nephews. We would like to thank Odyssey Hospice Care for their professionalism and support during this difficult time. Visitation will be held Wednesday October 29, 2008 at 6-9 PM at Paul U. Lee La Porte Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held at Thursday October 30, 2008 at 2 PM at St. John’s Episcopal Church in La Porte with Rev. Michael Besson presiding.
