Obituary of Sally Ann Pierce

Sally Ann Pierce, age 54 of Webster, Texas, passed away in her home on April 9, 2010. She is preceded in death by her parents, James W. Pierce and Oletah Ford Pierce of Longview, Texas. She is survived by her brother, Bill Pierce & his wife Linda, who presently reside in Rapid City, South Dakota; and three nieces, Heather Lott & her husband Doug of Longview, Texas, Charleen Pierce of Spring, Texas, and Katrina Suter & her husband Jason of Spring, Texas.
Sally is a 1974 graduate of Longview High School in Longview, Texas and earned a degree in Speech Pathology from Sam Houston State University. Sally was a teacher at Pearland High School for 20+ years and spent many years working with special needs children. She loved each of her students in a special way and called them “Her” kids putting her heart and soul into the care of all those she taught. In 2009, Sally was named Teacher of the Year. In her spare time, Sally enjoyed dancing, traveling, and her cat “Boo”.
A Visitation for Sally will begin at 3:00 pm on Thursday, April 15, 2010 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3311 Southfork Drive, Pearland, Texas 77584, 713-436-5470 with the Funeral Service following at 4:00 pm. Bishop Davidson will be officiating. Sally will be interred at Memory Park Cemetery in Longview, Texas, next to her parents.
