James G. (Jim) Bennett, age 86 of Pearland, passed away on April 21, 2010. He is preceded in death by his parents, Calvin S. & Mary (Wilson) Bennett; brothers, Edward, Calvin, John, & Kenneth; and sisters, Nina Stenson and Sara Dodd. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Lorene (Molitor) Bennett; son, Brian Bennett; sister, Lenora Moyer; nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Jim was born in Atlanta, Georgia on January 28, 1924. He served his country with pride for 20 years during World War II and the Korean Conflict.
Visitation for Jim will be on Sunday, April 25, 2010, from 6 pm to 8 pm in the Clayton Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 26, 2010 at 10:00 am at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 5515 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581, 281-485-7833. Pastor Rob Harbin & Pastor John Salminen will be officiating. The interment will follow at SouthPark Cemetery in Pearland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jim’s honor to the Epiphany Lutheran Church Altar Guild.
