Patsy Jean Bench May 28, 1929 - June 05, 2008 Patsy Jean Bench, 79, of La Porte passed away June 5, 2008. She was born May 28, 1929 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Blanche and Riley Bench. She has been a resident of La Porte for 42 years. Patsy was past Madam President of F.O.E 2753 and has been a member since 1974. She is preceded in death by daughter Paula Jean Pack, father Riley Bench, mother Blanche Bench, brother Otis Bench, sister in-law Fayrene Bench, brother in-law Elvin Purvis. She is survived by sister Lucille Purvis, brother Max Bench and wife Charlotte, nieces and nephews Susan Bentley and husband Ellis, Linda Walker, Rilene Burgess and husband Michael, Adrian Colton, Marilyn Beaty and husband Paul, Riley Hugh Bench and wife Tomalea, Ronnie Bench, and numerous great nieces and nephews, great great-nieces and nephews and many loving and caring friends. Visitation was held Friday June 6, 2008 at 6-8 PM at Paul U. Lee La Porte Funeral Home. Services will be held Saturday June 7, 2008 at 10 AM at the funeral home, with internment following at La Porte Cemetery.
