Obituary of Ronald Miller

Ronald Pearce Miller, age 43, died tragically in a car accident on April 23, 2010. He is survived by his wife Elaine and their daughter, Ashley and sons, Thomas and Dylan; parents, Craig and Mollie Miller; sister, Jessica Miller Estrada & her husband, Chris; grandparents, Lowell S. & Jodi Miller; uncle, Brent Miller & his wife, Daphne; uncle, Kirk Miller; aunt, Lisa Delgado & her husband Felix. Ron is also survived by extended family and many friends and whose lives he touched including brother, Cary Shatto & his wife Angela; Serena Peterson; Melissa Rorvig, and Uncle Alf Shatto & his wife Kathy.
Ron was born on January 10, 1967, in Houston, and lived in the Houston area most of his life. He was a paralegal, a salesperson, and a professional in the credit and collections business. Active in amateur sports, Ron played in numerous softball and ice hockey leagues, and coached his daughter’s T-Ball team. Ron was also a past president of the Oakland Raiders Silver & Black Fan Club.
Ron was full of energy and fun, and quickly became fast friends with people he met. He could watch the Raiders of the NFL or the Penguins of the NHL for hours and knew everything that was involved with their strategy or their players. He always had a joke, or the energy to participate in something new or to help with something around your house or his. He was proud to be, and was appreciated as a father, a business professional, a sports enthusiast and an encouraging coach of the young people on his daughter s team.
A Memorial Service for Ronald will be held on Friday, April 30, 2010 at 3:00 pm in the Clayton Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Keith Anderson will be officiating.
