Obituary of Robert Steven Berner

Robert Steven Berner May 02, 1952 - August 14, 2008 Robert Steven Berner, of La Porte passed away on August 14, 2008 after a long and reliant struggle with multiple medical difficulties. He was born on May 2, 1952 in Wichita, KS. The family moved to Houston in 1957 and Steve was educated there. He graduated from the Texas Art Institute in 1978 with a degree in photography. He was a talented photographer and worked for many ears in commercial photography with emphasis on computerized re-touching. He is survived by Paul and Sally Berner of La Porte, brothers Paul Jr. and his wife Deborah of Houston, W. Michael and his wife Sheila of Ramona, CA, nieces Sarah, Jennifer, Melissa, and nephew Paul III. A memorial service will be held Thursday August 21, 2008 at 3PM at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 815 S. Broadway, La Porte, TX 77571. In lieu of usual remembrance donation may be made to St. John’s Episcopal Church’s after School Program.
