Pamela Phillips, age 65 of Houston, passed away on May 2, 2010. She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Calvin & Lorene (Killough) Williams. She is survived by her daughters, Cody Sanderlin & her husband Adrian; Kendall Thomas & her husband David; and her grandchildren, Avery & Tyler Sanderlin and Alice & Harris Thomas. Pamela, born on May 11, 1944 in Greenville, Texas, resided in the Houston area since 1976. As the child of an Army officer, she traveled the world affording her cultural experiences spanning the globe, including Japan, Turkey and Germany. Blessed with a creative mind and a love of learning, Pamela earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater Arts from The University of Denver, and became an accomplished artist and writer. She had a gift of relating to people leading to her position for the last 18 years with Houston Asset Management as a Client Relations Representative. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and had a keen interest in murder mysteries. “Whammy” treasured her time with her grandchildren and had a special culinary flair that she would share with her friends and family. Despite various health issues over the years, Pamela was always positive and remained inspirational to others throughout those difficult times. A Memorial Service for Pamela will be held on Thursday, May 20, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Clayton Funeral Home. Pastor Joe Griffin will be officiating.
