Paul Russell Renfro, age 55 years passed away on May 11th, 2010, after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife and soul mate, Leanne, his Mother and Father, Frances and Ben Renfro, his Brothers, Charles and Thomas Renfro, his Sister Elizabeth Davis, his Brother-in-Law Doug Davis, his Niece Rachael Davis, his nephew Zachary Renfro, his Mother-in-Law Laurie Schwartz and Brother-in-Law Rob Schwartz. Paul was born in Baytown, Texas on May 1, 1955. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1974 and attended Lee College thereafter. He became a piping Designer leading to work as a Project Manager for several companies during the 1990’s and 2000’s. Paul was an active sportsman; in his youth he was a champion motor cross competitor, and a surfer. In his later years he became an avid golfer, fisherman, and a champion sailing racer in the Galveston Bay Cruising Associating. He and Leanne participated and won many Galveston Bay and Gulf of Mexico competitions. Paul and Leanne were married on one of their races to Mexico in 1993 with all their sailing friends attending. Paul also loved music and playing guitar. Paul and Leanne sold their home and sailed to the Caribbean in 2004. Living their dream for the next 4 years they sailed south through the islands landing in Carricou, Granada, where Paul became ill and returned to Texas. Paul was an exceptional person. He was good at anything he tried. He was a first class Designer/Builder, regardless if it was work in the process industry, fishing, sailing, golfing, playing guitar or designing in those activities. He touched many lives in a positive way and will be sorely missed by his family and friends. Paul’s Life will be celebrated at the Club Classic on Nasa 1, Seabrook at 2PM, Sunday, May 16.
