Carl Everett Jackowski, a resident of Brookside Village, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2007 surrounded by his loving family at the age of 73 years. Carl was born July 4, 1933 in Houston to the late Clarence Rito and Audie B. (Liston) Jackowski.
Carl proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy having served in the Korean War. He was President of Texas Metal Specialty Company of Houston, a member of Sheet Metal Worker’s Union Local # 54, and a member and past President of the Brookside Village Lion’s Club.
Carl is preceded in death by a daughter, Rita Kalthoff. He is survived by a loving family; his beloved wife, Evelyn S. Jackowski; seven children, Bo Difuro, Jackie Warner, Paula Burleson, Carl Jackowski, Jr., Kim Jackowski, June Morgan and Susan Pulford; eleven grandchildren, Chad, Jamie, Clint, Donnette, Jacob, Savannah, Sean, Chance, Derek, Sky, Jr. and Chad; brother, Frank Jackowski; sister, Stella Hill; numerous other relatives and a host of dear friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, May 14, 2007, at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway in Pearland. A Celebration of Carl’s Life will held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 15, 2007, in the chapel of Clayton Funeral Home with Rev. Rex Forsyth officiating. Entombment will follow at South Park Cemetery in Pearland. Those serving as pallbearers are Carl Jackowski, Jr., Mark Finney, Bobby Warner, Clint Warner, Jacob Thomas, Gary Burleson, Sky Pulford and Larry Morgan. Honorary pallbearers are Bo Difuro, Chad Burleson and John Keller.
