Obituary of Lishia Philpot

Funeral Service Thursday, Oct 26, 2017 11:00 AM Lishia Philpot January 02, 1933 - October 20, 2017 Lishia Philpot of LaPorte Texas after a long illness with cancer passed away peacefully October 20th 2017. She is now in Heaven with the Lord Jesus. She was born January 2nd 1933 in Brushy Creek, Pike county Kentucky. Daughter of William Landon Hinkle and Sarah Ellen Maynard. She was widowed and preceeded in death by her loving husband of over 60 years Charles Philpot. Survived by two sons Terry Philpot and Timothy Philpot, daughter inlaw Ester Philpot, sister Clara Belvins who was very dear to her, grandchildren Grace Mays, Roy Mays, and numerous nieces and nephews all of whom she loved very much.She was raised in Kentucky, Married Charles Philpot in 1953 and then moved to Pasadena Texas. Every year she always looked forward to visiting her family in Kentucky and later Michigan. She loved to cook and entertain family and friends around the kitchen table with food, sweets and of course coffee. The Holidays will never be the same without her. She loved her cats and had many over the years, Calico Granny was her favorite. Memorial Services will be conducted at Paul U. Lee Funeral Home in LaPorte Texas at 11:00am. Thursday October 26th 2017 with Pastor Dave Flores officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00pm and Wednesday October 25th 2017 at the funeral home.
