Obituary of James David Price

James "Jim" David Price May 28, 1924 - June 03, 2013 James "Jim" David Price, 89, of Shoreacres, Texas passed away on June 3rd, 2013. Born in Newark, New Jersey on May 28th, 1924 to Roy and Lillian Price, he is survived by his wife of 59 years, Anita Price, son James David Price, Jr. and wife Pamela Bettis of St. Louis, Missouri, daughter Debra Lynn Price and husband Walter Swartz of Taylor Lake Village, son James Robert Price and wife Barbara Foss of Houston, Texas, and grandchildren Joseph Swartz and wife Joanna Tsenn, and Timothy Swartz. Jim worked for Quantum Chemicals for 27 yrs after obtaining his Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering at Lehigh University and serving in the U.S. Navy, and was active locally, serving the La Porte Neighborhood Center, was active in Little League Baseball and getting it started in La Porte, leading Boy Scout Troop 514 for many years, and was a member of the La Porte Sports Booster Club. A Visitation Reception will be held Thursday June 6th 2013, from 7:00PM to 9:00PM at Paul U. Lee Funeral Home, with a private family service at a later date in his beloved Wimberley, Texas.
