Memorial Service Wednesday, Nov 08, 2017 5:00 PM-7:00 PM Emma Lee Rose July 03, 1924 - October 20, 2017 Emma Lee Kerr Rose, 93, was welcomed by the Lord into eternal glory on October 20, 2017. She was born to Mary B. and Asa E. Kerr in Covington, Kentucky on July 3, 1924. She married Bill, the love of her life, in May of 1944, and they remained happily married for 73 years. They moved to Houston shortly after their marriage.Emma, affectionately known as Mammy, is survived by her husband, William B. Rose, Nassau Bay, Tx.; son, Michael A. Rose, Nassau Bay, Tx.; daughter, Lizabeth (Libby) Beltz, son-in-law, Douglas A. Beltz, Friendswood, Tx,; granddaughter, Ashlee Beltz, Spring, Tx.; granddaughter, Blair Rickabaugh & her husband, David, and two great-granddaughters, Lily and Caroline Rickabaugh, all of The Woodlands, Tx. She is also survived by her sister, Flo Boone, of Winchester, Ky. and a host of relatives and friends ,Emma was a loving Christian woman who put the needs of her family and friends above her own. She was a glowing example of what a Christian life should be. Emma was an employee of Rohm & Haas Chemical Co. where she retired after 25 years of service. She was involved in many hobbies including sewing, Bridge clubs, bowling, and cake decorating. She was an amazing cook as well,A celebration of life will be held to honor Emma on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Paul U. Lee Funeral Home in La Porte, Tx. From 5:00-7:00 PM. There will be a private burial at the Lexington Cemetery in Lexington Ky. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice.
