My condolences to the family and friends of Marie. I have never met my cousin Marie but have been acquainted for more than 30 years through our common interest genealogy. I have known her for all those years by her email San Jacinto Rose. We often worked together on the Pinnick, Black, Miner, and Randolph families. Marie's work was superb! no other way to describe it. She will be missed and was a treasure to have among us. Cousin, Scott Black

I will always remember the wonderful programs that Marie did for Eastern Star chapters. She was a delightful lady, great presiding officer, and so very knowledgeable. We have lost a wonderful person and a great talent.

My deepest sympathy to Marie's family. I have known Marie for a very long time through DAR and through Eastern Star. We paged together in DAR many years ago and visited occasionally at OES Grand Chapter. A sweet woman with a heart for others. An excellent genealogist and a good friend. While I only saw her infrequently, I appreciated her friendship and the good time we shared.
May God Bless and strengthen you during this time and may you find joy in the wonderful memories you made with Marie.

Marie was one of a kind! She was an avid genealogist and loved research. If she couldn't be researching she wasn't happy. She was honored to serve the Continental Society Daughters of Indian Wars and did not hesitate to step in when Lucy Blocker passed away unexpectedly. I, personally, will miss Marie. Although she wasn't able to attend the meetings of the Society in recent years she was there in spirit. Prayers from our Society are with the family.

To Billy & Robin, Please accept my sincere sympathy in the passing of your Mother. She was one of the most extraordinary women I knew. She shared my love of music as few others I knew. We entered Eastern Star at the same time, however though we both served as Worthy Matron of LaPorte, she certainly served our Chapter more often and more diligently than I ever could or did. I loved her and admired her very much.
