Allan Arthur Schweke June 12, 1953 - June 08, 2017 Allan Arthur Schweke, 63, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 8, 2017. Allan was born on June 12, 1953 in Victoria, Tx to his parents Desmond and Erma Jean Schweke. He attended William Offer Elementary, O'Connor Elementary, and Patti Welder Junior High. He graduated from Stroman High School in 1971 where he was a member of the Raider Band. He attended Victoria Junior College for two years. Allan married Debra Haywood on June 19, 1976 in Victoria, Tx. They would have been married 41 years. They were blessed with a daughter, Sara, who was so special to her dad. He was blessed with three grandchildren, Ethan, Avery, & Harley, whom he loved very much. Allan worked in several chemical plants in Seadrift & the Houston area. He was a CNA in Victoria & the LaPorte area before he retired. Allan enjoyed working with the volunteers every Thursday at New Hope Church in Manvel, Tx. He read the Bible every morning & found comfort in The Word. He looked forward to going deer hunting at his cousin's land, the Schweke homestead in New Ulm every deer season. He would use the deer sausage in the beans he would take to the volunteer luncheons at New Hope. He loved going to & watching the Astros' games with his grandson Ethan. He also loved going to his favorite hangout, Starbucks, every day to talk with friends. He loved his dogs, Lexy & Rex who he is now reunited with in Heaven! Rex is probably jumping for joy!! Allan loved to travel whenever he could. He especially loved his last trip he took with Debra - to Hawaii! Allan was preceded in death by his parents, Desmond & Erma Jean Schweke, his grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Arthur Schweke, Mr. & Mrs. Dorman Hayes, brother in law Gary Stanton, his uncle Clarence Schweke, his aunts Madeline Schweke Schmid, Bernetta Schweke Grebe, Iris Cowart, Doris Lovering, & his best friend, Doug Hillyer. Allan is survived by his wife, Debra Haywood Schweke, his daughter Sara Schweke Hunt, son-in-law Aaron Hunt, grandchildren Ethan Andrew, Avery Grace, & Harley Faith; his brother, Stanley Schweke of Victoria, his sister Tammy Strmiska of Kenedy; his mother-in-law Catherine Haywood who he referred to as his 2nd mother; his sister-in-laws & brother-in-laws, Sandra Stanton, Bubba & Mary Powell, Ronnie & Lisa Haywood, & Pat Schweke as well as many cousins, nieces, & nephews. Allans Pallbearers are Aaron Hunt, Ethan Hunt, Stanley Schweke, Ronnie Haywood, Bubba Powell, Donald Gene Desto, Billy Hunt & Allan Tate. Honorary Pallbearers are Bobby Linville, Wesley Schweke, Jeffrey Chandler, Jeremy Powell, Brett Haywood, Bradley Allen, Bron McDonald & Matthew Hillyer, & Doug Hillyer who had preceded Allan in death. Services will be held at 3pm at Paul U. Lee Funeral Home in La Porte Tx. The family will be gathering after the burial at New Hope Baptist Church 15503 Zabolio Dr. Webster, Tx 77598. He will be greatly missed!
