Obituary of Bill Shipp

Bill Shipp January 16, 1932 - December 23, 2008 William Douglas “Bill” Shipp, 76, of La Porte passed away Tuesday December 23, 2008. He was born January 16, 1932 in La Porte, TX to Roy and Ruby Shipp. He retired as a supervisor from Huntsman Chemical. He is preceded in death by his son Doug and sister Mary Ann. Bill is survived by wife Jane Shipp, son Michael Shipp and wife Dannette, daughter Kelli Shipp, brother Donald Shipp and wife Yvonne, and grandchildren Michael Bryan Shipp, Kristi Shay Shipp, Justin Ty Shipp, Kyle Daniel Shipp, Matthew Aaron Shipp, Andrew William Shipp, John Douglas Shipp, and Margaret Jane Shipp. A Memorial Service will be held Monday December 29, 2008 at 10 AM at St. John’s Episcopal Church in La Porte. In lieu of usual remembrances donations may be made to the American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, or St. John’s Episcopal Church’s after school program.
