Samuel Nelson Simpson September 20, 1960 - September 30, 2014 Samuel Nelson Simpson, Jr., resident of La Porte, Texas, passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2014. He was born in Clinton, Indiana on September 20, 1960 to his parents, Samuel Nelson Simpson, Sr. and Sylvia Elizabeth Bracken Strawser. He is preceded in death by his father, Samuel Nelson Simpson, Sr. at age 71, his brother, Michael Patrick Simpson at age 29 and his son, Paul Brian Simpson at age 20. He is survived in death by his wife of 24 1/2 years, Tonya Renee Harper Simpson, his four children; Destiny Desire’e Simpson; 29, Thomas Jordan Simpson; 26, Courtney Nicole Simpson Olson; 23, and husband, Joshua Aaron Olson; 29, son Henry Harold Simpson; 21 and wife, Stephanie Michelle Hernandez; 25. His mother, Sylvia Elizabeth Bracken Strawser; 72, and step-father, Harold Leroy Strawser; 69. His brothers, John Robert Simpson; 52, James Michael Simpson; 50, and wife, Suzanne Rae Simpson; 49, and Steven Michael Simpson; 37. His grandchildren, Jessie Mae Burks; 12, River Dean Burks; 9, Dahlton Gene Burks; 7, Khloie Anne-Rene’e Simpson; 6, Luna Sarai Olson; 2, Talia Elizabeth Olson; 1 and Aiden Paul Simpson; 2 months. His nieces and nephews, Megan Louise Simpson Buchannon; 28, Katie Lanell Howard; 26,John Earl Simpson; 23, Timothy Ray Darracq; 24, Austin Lee Simpson; 21 and Joshua Michael Simpson; 15. His great nephew, Payton Michael Darracq; 2. As a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend, he will be deeply missed. A luncheon will be served from 2:30-3:45p.m. with a memorial service to follow from 4-5p.m. at Second Baptist Church, 9025 Carlow Lane, La Porte, Texas, 77571.
