SOSA, Sergio Casas, 47, went into the good Lord’s arms on Monday, November 16, 2015 at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, Texas. Sergio was born in Brownsville, Texas on December 14, 1967, the youngest son of Francisco Sosa Trejo and Elida Casas Sosa. He was known as “Serg” to close friends and family. Sergio graduated from Porter High School in Brownsville, Texas. Shortly after, he moved to San Antonio and in 1992 he joined the United States Army. He served his country for 20 years. Sergio pursued further education while serving and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Technology from The University of Houston in 1999. He is survived by his son Michael; mother Elida C. Sosa; Siblings, Norma Bautista, Elida Vidos. Isabel Garza, Cecilia Grubbs, Gracie Myers, Enedelia Sosa, Frank Sosa, and Carlos Sosa, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, caring friends and extended family. Military service is planned for Tuesday December 1, 2015 at the Houston National Cemetery on 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to the Woundedwarriorproject.org
