Alva Stietenroth July 20, 1916 - April 15, 2007 Alva Celestine Stietenroth, 90, of Houston, Texas died April 15, 2007. Born July 20, 1916 in Rosenburg, Texas to Austin T. Youngs and Annie (Perry) Youngs, Mrs. Stietenroth was affiliated with the Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip Beekman Stietenroth and brothers, Paul Austin Youngs and Marion Edwards Youngs. Mrs. Stietenroth is survived by her sons, William Austin Stietenroth of Houston, TX, Philip B. Stietenroth, Jr. of Denver, CO, and James Robert Stietenroth of Laneville, TX; brother, Freddie Lloyd Youngs of Harlingen, TX; grandchildren, Michael Kyle Stietenroth, Terry Kay Casner, Christine Liedtke, James Robert Stietenroth, Jr. and 5 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted by Rev. Jay Barnes at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 19, 2007 at the Grand View Memorial Park Cemetery in Pasadena. The family will receive friends at the Paul U. Lee-La Porte Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, April 18, 2007.
