Lynda Townsend May 24, 1941 - March 27, 2010 Lynda Townsend, 68, of La Porte passed away Saturday March 27, 2010. She was born May 24, 1941 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Geene Smith and Roy Freeman. Lynda is preceded in death by her parents, step-father Hunter Corder, brother Glenn Thomas Freeman, husband Harvey Townsend and grandson Michael Corder. She is survived by children Vanessa Picazo and Johnny, Gena Claxton, Douglas Allen and Jenny, Randall Allen and Brenda, Nicole Langford and Lance, Christine Baker and Don, sister Carahan Pullen, grandchildren Richard Claxton, Nathan Claxton, Jeffrey McCaskill, Hunter Allen, Randi Allen, Dylan Allen, Waylon Allen, River Allen, Blayne Denton, Jocelyn Langford, Citabria Baker, Jeremy Combrink, Colton Picazo, and great grandchildren Presleigh Claxton, Halo Claxton, Mercy Claxton, Shea McCaskill, Ty McCaskill, Brandy McCaskill, and Aden Hunter Picazo. Visitation will be held Monday March 29, 2010 at 6PM-8PM at Paul U. Lee La Porte Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held Tuesday March 30, 2010 at 10AM at the funeral home as well, interment will follow Concord Cemetery in Rye, Texas.
