Marjorie Inez Vasku, 90, died in New Braunfels, Texas, October 17, 2008. Born to Joseph and Florence Beach in New Haven Connecticut, she graduated college and became a school librarian. Marjorie was past president of the Montgomery Home Demonstration Club, Secretary of the Friends of Willis Library, a member of the Ladybug Tole Painters, also a member of the United Methodist Women’s Group, past member of the Houston Association of Legal Secretaries of America and the Houston Grand Opera Chorus. She was also invited to sing at the White House by Eleanor Roosevelt. She is survived by her Husband John, her children, Sharon Mazariegos and husband Jorge, Cheryle Fuller, Jack Fuller and Cyndy Woodham. Also survived by her Grandchildren, Jorge Mazariegos and wife Erin, Michael Mazariegos and wife Audra, Travis Woodham and wife Tomiko, Lamar Woodham, Charlotte Woodham and Kim Bell and husband Tim, Great-Grandchildren, Adora Mazariegos, Joshua Mazariegos, Laurena, Jorge, Jaime Mazariegos, Noah Bell, and Alana Bell. Family will receive friends at the Paul U. Lee Funeral Home, Monday, October 20, 2008 from 6-8PM, services will be Tuesday, October 21, 2008, 4PM at St. Johns Episcopal Church in LaPorte. A private family burial will follow on Wednesday.
