Dewey Ray Walls,Sr. August 20, 1930 - February 08, 2013 Dewey Ray Walls,Sr., 82 of LaPorte entered the kingdom of heaven on Febreuary 8, 2013. Born in Athens Texas August 20, 1930 to Hubert and Eva Walls, Dewey moved to LaPorte in 1961 worked for Brown and Root and owned several Service Stations in the area. Longtime member and Deacon of Bayshore Baptist Church and taught Sunday School classes along with his wife Maxine for over 30 yrs. Survivors include his wife of 65 yrs Maxine Walls of LaPorte, Children Sherry Rightmer and Husband David of LaPorte, Dewey Ray Walls, Jr. and wife JoAnn of LaPorte Becky Kittleman of Austin, Sisters Delores Lambright of Texas City, Wanda Sanders and Patsy Williams of Athens Tx., Grandchildren are Kristin Girod &Husband Dale , Kari Leighton & Husband Erik, Dewey Walls III and wife LeAndra, Alan Walls & wife Janette, and Dylan Kittleman also 14 Great Grandchildren Survive. Services will be Tuesday 2:00 P M at Bayshore Baptist Church with interment to follow at LaPorte Cemetery with Rev Tommy Dahn officiating. Visitation will be Monday at Paul U. Lee Funeral Home 6-8 P M. Pallbearers are Wayne Hamilton, Alan Walls, Dewey Walls III, Dale Girod, Erik Leighton, Lynn Benefield Mike Williams and Bubba Samford.
