Charles Louis Witt, Jr., loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend went home to with Jesus December 7th, 2010. Charles was a long time resident of La Porte and owner of Linda’s Sylvan Beach Bait and tackle. He was a member of the La Porte Masonic Lodge #857 AF & AM. He is preceded in death by his loving mother Ruthie Mae Huddleston Coker and son in law Richard Glenn Hogan. He is survived by his wife of 44 years Linda Witt of La Porte, daughters Kim Hogan of La Porte, Charla and husband Lee Bernard of Dayton, Carla and husband James Sullivan of Old River, Bambi and husband Dan McClelland of La Porte, and Holly and husband Jesse Williams of La Porte, grandchildren include Charles and Lauren Campbell, Chad and Brittany Campbell, Stephanie and Jeff Yager, Christin and Katie Bernard, Brooke and Kyle Garner, Lindsey Witt, great grandchildren Kaleb, Harlie, McKenzie, Maddyson, Gracie, Kailey, brothers and sister in laws are Edwin and Kathrine Witt of Friendswood, Ronnie and Anita Witt of Galveston, Aunt Margaret Smith and husband Peter, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday December 8, 2010 at Victory Tabernacle UPS, 721 E. Main, La Porte, TX 77571, from 5-8PM. The funeral service will be held Thursday December 9, 2010 at 10AM at Victory Tabernacle UPS as well. A graveside service will be held at 2PM at Galveston Memorial Cemetery, 7301 Memorial St., Hitchcock, TX. The family would like to specially thank the nurses of A-Med Hospice for helping us through this time.
